Mercy Movement, the newest ministry under the EVUSA umbrella, is dedicated to eradicating human trafficking, which operates in the shadows in the U.S. and all over the world. Human traffickers use threats, coercion and fraud to force people into sexual, agricultural and industrial slavery.
Mercy Movement Ministry, aimed at combating human trafficking, will:
- Research the many forms of human trafficking in the United States; create relationships with other like organizations.
- Resource churches, civic groups and individuals.
- Rally churches to action after they are properly trained to unite with other churches and civic groups to expose human trafficking in their communities.
- Release (rebuild) the slaves: That is our goal… real freedom for modern-day slaves.
Verse for workers against trafficking:
“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Luke 10:2, NKJV)
Verse for those in Bondage:
“For we were slaves, but in his unfailing love our God did not abandon us in our slavery.” (Ezra 9:9, NLT)
