Men’s Ministries of The Cornerstone Conference hosted its 2nd annualWinter Impact conference on February 28 and March 1, 2014 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Frank Sossoman, conference men’s director, and his leadership team executed an excellent event. A total of 175 men were present; an increase of 40 men from 2013. In addition, the conference had approximately 25 senior pastors in attendance as well.
Bishop Tommy McGhee, Executive Director of IPHC Discipleship Ministries and Rev. Bill Terry, National Men’s Director, were the guest speakers/trainers for the weekend. On Friday evening, Bishop McGhee and Rev. Terry presented a “tag-team” sermon on theEmpowered Man based on the passage of scripture from the second chapter of 2 Timothy. The sermon was well received by men filling the altars with a desire to receive Spirit empowerment. What made this time even more special are the two men who gave their lives in response to the salvation invitation.
On Saturday morning, the attendees participated in four sessions; two of which were taught by Bill Terry and two by Tommy McGhee. The four sessions were; A Commissioned Man, What in the World Am I Doing, Empowering the Next Generation, and What in the World Was I Thinking. However, the highlight of Saturday morning was the breakfast. It was a breakfast meant for real men which included bacon, eggs, sausage, grits, and biscuits and gravy. This was all prepared by the Cornerstone “chefs.” Thank you to everyone who helped to make this weekend an amazing success.
