Encounter 2015:  Every Minister Is Encouraged To Attend!

The New Year is almost here, and I want to remind every minister of a special event that is scheduled for January 5-6. We have the opportunity to join Pentecostal Pastors from across the Nation in a two-day gathering to seek God for revival in our churches and an awakening in our culture. The meeting will convene at Northwood Temple (IPHC), in Fayetteville, N.C. where Rev. John Hedgepeth serves as senior pastor. The Assemblies of God, the Church of God-Cleveland and the IPHC are sponsoring the event. Other Pentecostal organizations have been invited to participate as well.

It will be a time for us to renew our commitment to prayer recognizing that it is indispensable to the mission of the Church, our pastoral ministry and our personal life. Oh the power that comes when God’s people call on His Name. His promise is: “…call unto me…and I will answer you…and show you great and mighty things that you know not of…” What better way for us to begin the New Year than to call on Him, seek His face and believe for a great out-pouring of His Spirit and Power.

2015 is the ‘Year of Pentecost’ for us as we continue to focus on our 7 Core Values as a denomination. It was 40 days of prayer that preceded the Day of Pentecost in Acts2. Could it be that He will ‘do it again’ if we will gather as those early disciples did and tarry before Him.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, and continues through the evening service on Tuesday, January 6. This is a free event, but everyone is encouraged to pre-register on-line by going to www.encounter2015.com. That website will furnish all the information you will need including area motels, etc.

As your Conference Superintendent, I want to encourage EVERY MINISTER in Cornerstone to join us for what I believe will be a powerful time of prayer, worship and reflection. Please feel free to call our office if you have questions or for some reason cannot get to the above mentioned website and we will be glad to assist you in any way possible.
