Evangelism Ministry Promotes 7 Souls Challenge For 2017

Your Prayers Change Eternity

There are many things we pray for. We pray for health, finances, a better job, a nicer car (or at least one that runs). We pray for big decisions like where should we go to college or who should we marry. These are all important things in this life, but none of these things will last into eternity. It is probably not an exaggeration to say that 95% of our prayers are for temporal things. The one thing we can pray for that will last for eternity is souls! Think about it. Your prayers can actually alter eternity. May your heart for the lost intensify as you commit to the 7 Souls Challenge.

The 7 Souls Challenge encourages your congregation to:

Make a list of 7 people who do not know Christ as their personal Savior.

Commit to pray for them 7 days a week for the next 7 weeks.

Challenge 7 of friends on social media to do the same.

The 7 Souls Story

The 7 Souls Challenge was birthed out of a sermon series preached by Dale Adams on the Anatomy of God. “As I studied the heart of God, Dale states, two things became obvious. First, God’s heart for the lost was far greater than I had imagined. The second thing that was painfully obvious was that my heart did not match the Father’s heart in His drive, zeal and compassion for those who had not made a life-altering decision to follow Jesus Christ.” Out of this sermon, Pastor Adams issued the 7 Souls Challenge to the congregation of LifeSpring Christian Church in Greensburg, PA.

Only eternity will tell what a difference your prayers will make, but one thing I know for sure, this prayer challenge will change you!

We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the only sure way of gaining heaven. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. The Bible also tells us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) So our relationship with Jesus begins with a simple prayer like this, “I confess to God that I am a sinner. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross. I believe that God raised him from the dead. I now repent of my sins and accept Christ as my Savior.”  After making the decision to receive Christ, we encourage new believers to seek a local church that will assist us in growing as a new Christian by the clear teaching of the Bible.

The Cornerstone Conference Evangelism Ministry is encouraging Pastors to involve their congregations in the 7 Souls Challenge.

If you would like to issue the 7 Souls Challenge to your congregation or small group, Pastor Adams has given Cornerstone Conference permission to do so. If you have any questions, you can contact us at Cornerstone Conference or email Pastor Dale at [email protected] or you can go to http://www.7souls.org/resources to download any of the resources listed below.
