Compassion Ministries (Human Trafficking Ministry)

With a desire to serve the body of Christ and the Cornerstone Conference, we are called to partner with each pastor by providing encouragement, training and resources for the work and ministry of evangelism and its focused efforts in each local church.

Cornerstone Evangelism Ministries has a passion to see congregations fully equipped and actively making an impact in each community with the gospel message.

We are here to assist by providing consultation and resources in various areas of Evangelism including:  Church Planting, Church Development / Revitalization and Intercultural Ministries.  We invite you to please visit our website for more information about the opportunities available in our Conference Evangelism Ministries.

Cornerstone Evangelism Ministries believe that it is our utmost responsibility to multiply disciples and churches in the Cornerstone Conference. We invite you to join us in this commitment to influence our world by:

WE SERVE THE LOCAL CHURCH:  We exist to serve each pastor and local church in reaching the lost in their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through training opportunities related to effective practices and strategies of evangelism, outreach, assimilation and discipleship. Examples of this include Sidewalk Sunday School, Back to School Outreach and School/Community Partnerships. We emphasize the priority of conversion growth over transfer growth by encouraging church growth methods and practices that target unreached and unchurched people in the community.

PRAYER STRATEGY: Prayer is vital to Evangelism. Prayer is bringing God and his resources into our earthly realities. We invite you to join us in our Conference-wide prayer strategy that focuses on praying for: Laborers (Matthew 9:35-38); Supernatural Resources (John 14:11-14); Open Doors (2 Corinthians 2:12); and Lasting Fruit (John 15:12-17).

ITINERATE EVANGELISM:  Our Evangelism Council assists interested individuals in identifying the gift and call of the Evangelist (Ephesians 4:11) by providing prayer support, resources, spiritual gifts discovery analysis and information about the Conference ministerial training (BMI & INCaM) and the credentialing process. The Conference Evangelism Ministries Department currently has four certified Conference Itinerant Evangelists that serve Cornerstone Conference IPHC.

CHURCH MULTIPLICATION: Evangelism Ministries has a burden to train and equip leaders to plant churches. The Conference Evangelism Ministry provides annual training (English and Spanish) that prepares church planters using the Dynamic Church Planters International (DCPI) models. Five tracks of DCPI training are available to anyone interested in starting a new congregation.

CHURCH REVITALIZATION:  Many of our pastors need assistance in refocusing, reenergizing, restructuring and restarting congregational ministry.  Our work includes coordinating a vibrant church revitalization program that offers consultation and training. We utilize proven strategies and models of revitalization that Pastors and local churches can use to bring new life to existing congregations.

INTERCULTURAL MINISTRIES:  North Carolina and Virginia is home to a culturally diverse group of people. Cornerstone Conference recognizes that many opportunities exist to reach ethnic groups in our communities. The Conference Evangelism Ministries Department continues to develop ministries that will enable us to reap the harvest reflected in the multicultural diversity of our society.

MISSION: M25 MINISTRY: Mission: M25 Ministries is a ministry of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church that gives hope to the hopeless in accordance with Matthew 25:34-40. It is a ministry of connectivity and outreach beyond the traditional four walls of the church.  As a directive in Matthew 25:34-40, Jesus is instructing the church and everyone to GO! An act of obedience to Matthew 25:34- 40 leads to a life of service from the heart of compassion for people. Mission: M25 shows compassion through ministries to the Homeless, Veterans, Bikers, Children (Free Camp), and those in Recovery and Prison.  Our Cornerstone Conference Mission: M25 Ministry provides exciting opportunities throughout the year to serve with compassion!

COMPASSION MINISTRIES:  Cornerstone Conference joins the IPHC in serving to eradicate human trafficking, which operates in the shadows within the U.S. and all over the world. Human traffickers use threats, coercion and fraud to force people into sexual, agricultural and industrial slavery. Surprisingly, human trafficking is a growing problem in many of our local communities. Recent statistics rank North Carolina as a top ten state for human trafficking in the United States. Our Cornerstone Conference Human Trafficking ministry is a fledgling ministry that is being developed to inform and educate pastors and parents on how they can join the effort to combat this threat to our children and teens.

CORNERSTONE CARPENTERS: Cornerstone Carpenters is a group of men and women who help churches build or repair buildings by providing and coordinating volunteer labor. Our building team consists of volunteers who assist with various aspects of the construction project including wood framing, brick veneer masonry, roofing, electrical wiring and fixtures, plumbing, drywall installation, door and hardware installation, finish carpentry and painting. Our mission is to seek individuals with a desire to assist local churches in their planning and implantation of a construction plan, to encourage those churches to be good stewards of the resources that God has provided, and to continue to grow His kingdom.

God’s purpose in sending Jesus was to reconcile the world to Himself. (2 Cor. 5:19)

God’s motivation in sending Jesus was love. (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:8)

We join Him in His mission as His ambassadors. (2 Cor. 5:19-20)

We reflect His heart to the world around us when we join Him in His mission. (Jn. 17:25-26)

We share Jesus with others because His love compels us. (2 Cor. 5:14)

God’s heart is one that desires for all men to be saved and rejoices when even one person is found in Him. (Lk. 15:1-32; 1 Tim. 2:4; 2 Pet. 3:9)

God’s commission is for His people to be witnesses, making disciples of all nations. (Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:19-20)

We obey His command to evangelize the world around us because we love Him. (1 Jn. 5:3-4)

God’s power to save is exhibited in the Gospel. (Rom. 1:16; 1 Cor. 1:18)

We can lose personal inhibitions when our confidence is in His power and not our abilities and thereby boldly proclaim Jesus as God’s solution to the sin problem. Through Jesus people are made right with God. (Acts 1:8; Rom. 1:16)

Our Scriptural Mandate is His Last Words to His First Disciples:
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20
