The Cornerstone Conference assisted the Cherokee Pentecostal Holiness Church with the construction of a new Sanctuary within the Cherokee Nation (Eastern Band).
Since their displacement from their original property last December, the congregation has received help from the Principal Chief, Michell Hicks and the Cherokee Tribal Council, in securing a beautiful new location for the Cherokee congregation. The new location is on US 19 E adjacent to the Community Center near Santa’s Land Family Theme Park and Zoo.
With the assistance of the Cornerstone Conference, a newly constructed 90’ X 45’ metal building is in place! Monies for the construction of the building were made possible as a result of the sale of the Crossroads church property in Charlotte, NC. The Conference Executive Council believes the need in Cherokee is a good “re-investment” of these local church funds.
Special thanks to many of our churches who gave more than $35,000 to complete the interior. The congregation dedicated the building on April 14, 2012!
